It's not just the Galaxy S10 that Samsung will hype up on 21 February.

Samsung is readying to launch its new Galaxy S10 series of phones, comprising the Samsung Galaxy S10, Samsung Galaxy S10+ and Samsung Galaxy S10e at an event in San Francisco on 20 February, which becomes 21 February here in Australia thanks to that pesky international dateline.

However, it's not the only product Samsung will be showing off. While there are persistent rumours that a new Samsung Gear wearable will also debut, they are in the "rumour" category. Whereas Samsung itself has now confirmed that it will at least give a sneak peek at its plans around foldable phones:

Now, that doesn't show anything we didn't already know about Samsung's foldable ambitions, but the fact that Samsung isn't shying away from talking folding phones while launching distinctly non-foldable devices is interesting in itself.

The launch of a foldable Samsung phone is expected later in 2019, under the working names of either Galaxy F or Galaxy X. There have also been persistent rumours that Samsung would launch a 5G-capable Galaxy S10 later in 2019.

It's always feasible that the tie-in with the Galaxy S10 launch is because Samsung's doubling down on 5G and foldables in the same device, while tying into the valuable Galaxy S branding.

We'll know for sure early in the morning of 21 February 2019, and of course, we'll have all the details for you here on Finder.
