Most of the major Australian streaming services offer free trials for new customers. It can save you from unwittingly signing up for a service that only has enough good content to last you a week or 2 of binge-watching, tops.

In the past, we've worked out that if you sampled all of the streaming services that offer free trials, you'd get nearly a year of free streaming.

Does Netflix offer a free trial?

One of the biggest streaming services in the world halted free trials for Australians in 2020. It's one of many changes the service has made in recent years, including exploring charging for password-sharing.

Is there a Disney Plus free trial?

Like Netflix, Disney Plus removed its 7-day free trial offer back in 2020. While we aren't sure if the Disney Plus free trial will return, it has run special promotions with third parties such as Foxtel or Telstra where you can get access to Disney Plus for free, but you're paying for the other third-party service.

So while you technically wouldn't be paying anything for Disney Plus, you'd still have to hand over money to access it.
