Everyone loves free stuff, including us. So we’re pretty stoked when Australian streaming services offer free trials to let viewers watch unlimited amounts of whatever TV shows and movies are available with that service.
Stan previously offered a 30-day free trial to all new customers. At the time, this was the longest free trial in the market.
How do I get my Stan free trial?
As mentioned above, Stan has paused its free trial for the time being, with no indication of when (or if) it will return. In the event that free trials are reinstated, these are the steps you need to follow:
- First things first, you'll need to head to the Stan website to sign up for your free trial.
- Enter your email address and click the blue "Start your 30 day free trial" button.

- You'll then need to select the package you're after. Plus select the checkbox if you're after Stan Sport.

- Next you're required to enter both your personal and payment details plus agree to the terms and conditions. The payment details are collected because (take note!) as soon as your free trial ends, you will be charged as a regular Stan user. In order to avoid this, you'll need to cancel your subscription before your 30 free days are up.
- Now all you have to do is find something to watch on Stan. You could start with our list of the best shows on Stan if you need a recommendation.

Is there a catch with the Stan free trial?
Nope, there's no catch with Stan's free trial as long as you're an eligible customer. You can watch everything that Stan offers, except for Stan Sport which doesn't have a free trial. The Stan free trial is limited only in the amount of time you can view, not by the amount of content you would can watch.
