If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t want to overspend on accommodation or waste their time checking prices across every single site, you might be familiar with Trivago. It’s a website that collates all the relevant information and compares it all for you within seconds to give you the best deals on hotels and accommodation around the world.
While Trivago pulls its prices from hundreds of websites, it doesn’t cover them all.
If you feel as though you could do better, these sites like Trivago may help.
1. Hotel Finder
Hotel Finder compares some of the largest booking engines online to find you the best price on hotels, resorts and serviced apartments.

- You can sort by: Price, distance, property type, guest rating, hotel features, theme and hotel chain.
2. HotelsCombined
HotelsCombined is one of the biggest players in the hotel comparison space. It brings all the top travel sites and their prices into the one place.
- Sites it compares: Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Agoda, AccorHotels, Travelodge, Adina, Meriton, Rydges, Priceline, Hotel Quickly and Hotelopia.
- You can sort by: Price, deals, rating, property type, hotel facilities, theme and hotel chain.
3. lastminute.com.au
While lastminute.com.au doesn't actually compare booking site prices, it does offer hot deals on accommodation, particularly for last minute bookings, making it worth a look if you ever need a room at short notice.

- You can sort by: Property class, price, amenities, meal plans and nearby landmarks.
4. Skyscanner
This invaluable resource for finding the lowest flights online also compares other travel necessities such as accommodation and car hire.

Momondo compares flight, hotel and car hire prices across hundreds of sites.

Who offers the best?
We looked up the price for a Deluxe King room in Sydney’s Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney for 5-7 May 2017 to see which of these hotel comparison sites would give us the best bang for our buck.
The verdict? None.
They all pulled up the same price of $585 for the two nights. A little disappointing, sure, but at least you have peace of mind that you really are getting the best deal for your room no matter which site you decide to use.[/fin_hide]
