Telstra is “registering interest” in the Galaxy S10

The nation's biggest carrier will shortly offer Samsung's shiny new smartphones.

Late last week, Vodafone confirmed that it would offer the Samsung Galaxy S10 "soon", which ties well into rumours that the phone will go on sale around 8 March 2018. It was highly unlikely, given the popularity of Samsung's Galaxy S phones, that it would have an exclusive on the new handsets.

Telstra's put up a pre-pre-order page for the Galaxy S10, expected to be announced by Samsung early on Thursday morning, Australian time.

Naturally, it's not letting much slip that we didn't in fact already know, and the link simply goes to a very generic "expression of interest" page where you can hand over your contact details and list the devices you may be interested in.

Entertainingly, one of the options on that generic page is for Windows Phone devices, despite the fact that Telstra hasn't offered a Windows Phone for some years now. Even Microsoft is abandoning support for the platform at the end of the year.

Telstra's pre-order image promises that "the wait is almost over", and with Samsung expected to start selling the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10+ in early to mid-March, we shouldn't have to wait too long to get a glimpse at Telstra's plans.

We'll be providing comprehensive coverage of the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event from early Thursday morning.
