Here's what you need to know to score any of Samsung's shiny new Samsung Galaxy S10 handsets down under.

Samsung has just announced the Samsung Galaxy S10 family at its Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco, and typically that would mean you'd have a week or two to catch your breath before working out your pre-order strategy.

Samsung isn't sitting still on the Galaxy S10 with pre-orders for the 4G LTE variants all going on pre-order in Australia from 9am on 21 February 2019. Which, if you don't happen to have a calendar handy, is today.

The actual on-sale date is 8 March 2019, so you don't even have to wait all that long to get your new premium smartphone either.

Which variants of the Samsung Galaxy S10 will be on sale in Australia?

We'll see the Samsung Galaxy S10e, Samsung Galaxy S10 and Samsung Galaxy S10+ all go on sale in Australia on 8 March, but we won't see all the storage variants Samsung is producing. That's not a huge issue, given that all 3 phones can take microSD expansion up to 512GB regardless, but if you wanted a standalone Samsung Galaxy S10e with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, you'll have to import one.

Sadly, we're also not going to see all the colour variants that Samsung will produce the Galaxy S10 series in down under, at least officially.

Samsung will produce the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e in Prism White, Prism Black, Prism Green, Prism Blue, Canary Yellow and Flamingo Pink colours, as well as 2 Galaxy S10+ exclusive colours, in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White.

In Australia, we'll only officially see the Prism Green, Prism Black and Prism White finishes for the Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10. If you're after the Galaxy S10+, it'll likewise come in Prism Green, Prism Black or Prism White for the 128GB model, and then Ceramic Black or Ceramic White for the 512GB or 1TB models.

How much will the Samsung Galaxy S10 cost in Australia?

If you're buying outright, the Samsung Galaxy S10 will be priced as follows:

  • Galaxy S10e (128GB) $1,199
  • Galaxy S10 (128GB) $1,349
  • Galaxy S10 (512GB) $1,699
  • Galaxy S10+ (128GB) $1,499
  • Galaxy S10+ (512GB) $1,849
  • Galaxy S10+ (1TB) $2,399

As a pre-order bonus, if you order one before midnight on 7 March 2019, Samsung will throw in a pair of its new Samsung Galaxy Bud headphones, valued at $249.
