Now at just $5 per portion, Dinnerly is the most affordable meal kit in Australia.
Meal kits and meal delivery services are way more convenient than regular grocery shopping and cooking. And generally, they're cheaper too. But still, many people are turned off by the cost for their box of weekly dinners.
Well, Dinnerly has heard us – and you can now score a Dinnerly meal kit for as little as $5 per portion. No, you read that correctly. You can make dinner for a family of four for just $20.
Now you might think that $5 won't get you much, especially if you've seen the price of tomatoes lately. Australian fresh produce gets really expensive! But you'd be wrong. Dinnerly doesn't just have cheap spaghetti with tomato sauce on the menu. It has some literally drool-worthy recipes that you'd never be able to cook so cheaply if you bought the ingredients yourself.
Some of the upcoming recipes on the Dinnerly website include Haloumi and Cherry Tomato Pasta, Lamb Kofta Meatballs and Smoky South American Beef Pizza – and in this editor's opinion, that's pretty good for $5.
The average cost per portion does depend on how many meals you order and for how many people. If you're ordering the smallest box, the two meals for two people, you'll pay $6.50 per portion – which is still really cheap. The "five meals for four people" box weighs in at $4.95 per portion.

Dinnerly also recently upgraded how many meals you can order in a box. Previously customers could only order three meals but now there are options to order four or five.
If you hadn't previously heard of Dinnerly, it's a meal kit or meal delivery service like Marley Spoon. But where Marley Spoon looks after convenience and a refined palette, Dinnerly is all about getting delicious food on the table quickly and affordably.
Each week, Dinnerly has eight meals to choose from, including vegetarian and healthy options that are designed by a team of chefs and nutritionists. All of Dinnerly's recipes use premium ingredients from Australian farmers and producers at an extremely budget-friendly price. And of course, there are healthy low-calorie meal options that weigh in at under 600 calories.
