Known for huge deals like free return flights, Jetstar is the airline to keep an eye on in this year's end of financial year sales.

Its 2023 Mid-Year sale went live for Club Jetstar members at midday on 15 June.

It is available to the public from 12.01am AEST 16 June until 11.59pm AEST 21 June 2024.

What are the best Jetstar EOFY sale shopping tips?

  • Be flexible: Budget airlines like Jetstar often have the most sale seats available on flights scheduled for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. These days are your best bet for getting the cheapest price.
  • Consider alternative airports: Flying to Melbourne, Southern Queensland or the Whitsundays? Consider flying to a secondary airport, such as Avalon in Melbourne, Brisbane for the Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast or Proserpine on the Whitsunday Coast. This strategy could save you money on your tickets.
  • Travel light: Jetstar offers a no-frills service, so your ticket doesn't automatically include a checked bag. If you can manage with just a carry-on, you could save big on baggage fees, which can cost almost as much as the fare on some of the cheapest routes.

Why should I book during the Jetstar EOFY sale?

Throughout 2023, Jetstar has continuously impressed with Australian fares from $29. Its Mid-Year sale is no different with domestic flights from $29 and international flights from $124 each way.

What is Jetstar's flexibility policy?

Fly with peace of mind by adding FareCredit to your airfares. If you need to cancel, it moves the value of your fare into a credit plus any extras you added for the in-flight experience. Jetstar vouchers are valid for up to 3 years from the issue date. International flights booked before 30 June 2022 are still eligible for the Fly Well program, which allows for fee-free cancellations.

What should I know about booking Jetstar flights during COVID-19?

There are a couple of things you should be aware of when booking EOFY seats during COVID-19:
  • Become familiar with Jetstar's flexibility policy: Only international fares come with flexibility. See above for a deeper understanding of its policy.
  • Remain safe onboard and at the airport with the Fly Well policy: At the airport, passengers can now complete contactless check-in, baggage drop-off and self-scan their boarding passes. Face masks must be worn during the flight. While at the airport, social distancing must be maintained and unnecessary movement onboard the aircraft is discouraged.
