Cordless, flexible and easy to use, Dyson's Corrale straightener is designed to take the frustration out of your morning routine.

Update: Due to the ever-changing situation created by COVID-19, the original release date for the Dyson Corrale has been pushed back. A limited amount of stock will now be available for purchase on the Dyson site and at the Dyson demo store in the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney from Thursday 30 April. A wider store release will follow on Friday 29 May.

Dyson has been a leader in tech for quite some time, but it was its move into the beauty space that really got our attention. After releasing the popular Supersonic Hair Dryer, the brand went on to drop one of our favourite hair products of all time: the Airwrap.

It turns out that it isn't stopping there either, with the company today announcing the arrival of a brand new product. After a whopping seven years in the making, Dyson has unveiled its very own hair straightener and we're already itching to get our hands on it.

Release date: 30 April 2020

Price: $699

Where to buy: Dyson

Titled Dyson Corrale, the product is every bit as innovative as you would expect from the brand. The first thing you'll notice is that the straightener is cordless, which is a hugely convenient upgrade from other models on the market. Not only does it give you more flexibility in terms of where you can use it, but it also takes up significantly less space on your vanity.

A 4-cell lithium-ion battery allows for the cordless creation and also means that you can charge it through a complimentary charging dock. With an approximate run time of 30 minutes, most consumers should be able to complete their hairstyle before needing to recharge, though a cord is provided so you can use it while it charges if you need to.

The real highlight of the Corrale though is its innovative flexing plate technology. Where normal straighteners feature straight plates that often cause hair to splay and heat unevenly, Dyson's flexing plates have been designed to capture and shape every last strand.

This means that every segment of hair is heated evenly the first time you slide it through your locks, saving you both time and damage in the long run.

Additional features include three intelligent heat control settings for different types of hair and a clever flight safe mode that meets air travel standards so you can easily pack it into your carry-on.

The Dyson Corrale is set to arrive in two colourways of dark nickel/fuchsia and purple/black. You'll be able to shop both models online at Dyson from 30 April for $699.

It will then be available in David Jones, Myer, Adore Beauty and Sephora from 29 May.
