EOFY questions you should ask yourself
- Do you need it? When there are plenty of bargains to be had, it can be all too easy to fall into the trap of making purchases you don't really need. Worse still, if an item is heavily discounted, you often won't be able to return it when you change your mind. To avoid buyer's remorse, make a checklist of the items you really do need and make a point of only looking for those few things. It also pays to keep a budget in mind so that you won't be tempted to reach for the credit card.
- Can you find a better price elsewhere? EOFY may be an opportunity for stores to get rid of stock quickly, but it's also a time for them to make some cash really quickly. Before making a purchase, shop around and compare prices at competing retailers. If you're not sure where to start, you can check out our deals page.
