Tips for shopping the Boxing Day sales in Sydney

If you want to avoid a credit card hangover this Boxing Day, we recommend doing the following:

  • Create a budget - When there are discounts aplenty, it can be all too easy to overspend. By sitting down and creating a realistic budget, you can shop with confidence, knowing exactly how much you can spend without doing serious damage to your bank account.
  • Create a shopping list - Similar to creating a budget, writing out a wishlist is a great way to ensure that you don't end up with buyer's remorse. Whether you're in need of some new appliances or just need to refresh some wardrobe staples, have a plan of attack before heading out to shop.
  • Get there early - While you will have to fight crowds at all hours on Boxing Day, getting there early is still the way to go. Secure a park, grab a coffee and head to your favourite store before it opens so you can get to the products you really want before they sell out.
  • Shop online - The easiest way to beat the crowds and the stress is to shop online. Not only will you be able to checkout faster, you'll also be able to shop across retailers to see which store has the best price
