Which sites have launched early Boxing Day hotel sales?
As of 20 December 2024, no major hotel sites or brands have launched official Boxing Day sale yet.
However, some have summer sales which are running over Boxing Day. This includes:
- Luxury Escapes: Bringing back your favourite deals of the year Luxury Escapes is launching a Best of the Decade sale filled with its most popular escapes. While most deals will be on sale on 26 December a few have been released early including this 5-night stay at The Royal Senses Resort & Spa Crete, Curio Collection by Hilton from $1,599 per room.
- Trip.com: Score up to 50% off hotel stays in Australia.
- Wotif: Save 20% or more on select hotels with Mates Rates during Wotif's End of Year Summer Sale.
How do I find the best Boxing Day hotel deals?
- Stay a little longer. Many hotel sales offer greater savings the longer you stay. While a 1- or 2-night stay may offer savings of around 25%, adding a third night may increase that discount to 35%.
- Be flexible. The most heavily discounted days are often those that are the quietest, such as weekdays or dates outside of the school holidays.
- Go where the sales are. Don't have a specific destination in mind? Check out where the deals are and decide from there. Who knows? You might even stumble across a great new destination.
- Shop around. Be sure to check the rates on multiple booking sites such as Expedia, Wotif, Hotels.com and Booking.com as they all may offer slightly different prices, even during a big sales event.
- Check your rewards terms and conditions. If you're loyal to a brand because it offers you reward points, check the terms and conditions before booking with it. Often, big sales exclude you from earning points or offer fewer points for your stay. This may not be as appealing as a cheaper stay with no rewards.
