NBA League Pass free trial: How to sign up and stream basketball

You’ll never have to miss a buzzer beater ever again with League Pass, but what does it get you?

Picture not described

For a long time, Aussies had to resort to pay TV to get their NBA fix, with ESPN broadcasting a limited number of games every season. Thanks to NBA League Pass, you can bypass that and watch every game.

The streaming platform allows you to follow your favourite teams, players and match-ups, select the commentary you want and keep up with the latest NBA season.

How to get your NBA League Pass free trial

When signing up to League Pass, you'll need to:

  1. Head over to the NBA League Pass official website.
  2. You'll see an option to pick 1 of 2 packages.
  3. Once you decide which one you want, click on the yellow button that says "Try Free".
  4. From there you'll be required to create an NBA account. You'll need to enter some standard information such as an email address, password and date of birth. Then agree to the privacy policy and T&Cs.
  5. Sticking on the big yellow button theme, click "CONTINUE" towards the bottom of the page. On the next screen is where you'll be required to enter your payment details. Yes, even though you may only be after the free trial you still are required to provide payment details.

As of October 2023 League Pass is only offering 3 subscriptions. Available are Team Pass, League Pass and League Pass Premium.

Team Pass only allows you to choose 1 team to follow for the season and access their games. Both the League Pass options will allow you to watch every game live or on-demand. The more expensive Premium version allows you to watch from 3 devices simultaneously instead of just 1 screen and has no ads.
