Since 2021, Stan Sport has carved a niche in the sports streaming market in Australia. It launched as the home of rugby union and that has remained as its core. But if you're after some top flight tennis, football or motorsport, you will also find options.
A subscription to Stan Sport is $15 a month. But to access the service, you also need to be a regular Stan subscriber. Subscriptions to Stan cost between $12 and $21 a month, so the total cost of Stan Sport is $27 to $36 a month. You are unable to subscribe to just Stan Sport on its own.
If you want the cheapest option to subscribe to Stan Sport, you'd need to take the Basic Stan package before adding Stan Sport. This would mean you'd pay $27 a month.
Stan Sport focuses on a few core sports. It is the home of rugby union in Australia, with most major competitions on the service. It also has all the tennis Grand Slams, plus some of the tennis tournaments in Australia over summer. On the football front, you can watch the top European clubs battle it out in UEFA competitions. There's plenty for motorsport fans including Indycar, World Rally Championship, Formula E and more. If combat sport is your thing, Stan Sport has the Professional Fighters League and has also had boxing PPVs.
Its matches are ad-free, and some content is available in 4K Ultra HD. No matter what base Stan plan you sign up for, Stan Sport is available in High Definition (HD) and 4K Ultra HD. To watch sport in 4K you would need to ensure you have a 4K compatible device and a fast enough internet connection.
